Kathmandu: Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) General Secretary and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel has urged Prachanda and Madhav Nepal to return to the party.
Addressing a state gathering organized by the CPN-Oli group in Birgunj, he said that Prachanda and Madhav Nepal still have a place in the party. But for that, the two leaders should correct their past mistakes and withdraw the chargesheet filed by Prachanda against Prime Minister Oli, he said.
“Even now, we have a place, we have tried to preserve party unity. They have called for an unconstitutional meeting to remove the prime minister. We have only removed Prachanda from the executive role of chairman, not from chairman. Madhav Nepal is a senior leader,” he said.
Poudel said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had decided to dissolve the parliament and go to the people as it was a false attempt to file a no-confidence motion and overthrow the government.
“The prime minister has decided to go against it and dissolve parliament and go for a fresh mandate. The decision to go for a fresh mandate has given a new direction to national politics. If we did not do that, if we surrendered, the country would be in danger of moving towards immorality, anarchy and disorder, ”he said.
Poudel also said that the decision to dissolve the parliament and go to the polls was constitutional. “Analyzing the essence, feelings and differences of the arbitrators, we can conclude that they will go to the polls,” he says. He insists that the House of Representatives cannot be restored.
On the occasion, leader Raghubir Mahaseth accused the senior leaders of the party of irritating the Prime Minister. He said that the Prime Minister had dissolved the parliament not out of happiness but out of compulsion.
