Kathmandu: A group of 7 people arrested in Kathmandu for hostaging Bangladeshi citizens and blackmailing them.
They have hostage Bangladeshi citizens promising them to send other countries for foreign employment via Nepal.
Bangladeshi and Nepali citizens involved in a gang of holding Bangladeshi citizens hostage and demanding ransom money from their families have been arrested by the team assigned from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office.
Apart from arresting the accused, the office has also rescued six Bangladeshi citizens who were held hostage.
The gang brought them from Bangladesh to Nepal for foreign employment and kept them hostage in hotels and safe houses in various places in Kathmandu and demanded money from their families.
