Police arrests 2 Indian nationals for fraudulent manpower agency operation

Kathmandu: Nepal Police have detained two Indian nationals accused of defrauding individuals through an unregistered manpower agency. The arrests were made by Nawalparasi West police following reports of fraudulent activities.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Rabindra Rane (24) of Asalfa, Barve Nagar, Mumbai, Maharashtra State, India, and Javed Masiha (37) of Kolawa, Mumbai GPO. Superintendent of Police Gyanendra Phuyal disclosed that the suspects had operated under the guise of the JD manpower agency, falsely promising job placements in Australia, Russia, and Italy without the necessary registration.

The suspects had established their office in Ramgram Municipality-5, where they allegedly conducted their fraudulent activities. They have since been handed over to the Labor and Employment Office in Butwal for further legal action.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing as authorities work to ensure justice for victims of the fraudulent recruitment scheme.
