Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has inaugurated Nepal’s first hydrogen car and refueling system at Kathmandu University (KU) in Dhulikhel, Kavre. The launch took place on Friday, ahead of KU’s 29th convocation.
The hydrogen car, manufactured by Hyundai in Korea, was acquired for USD 33,000 with support from Nepal Oil Corporation. Kathmandu University facilitated its importation.
During the launch, PM Oli emphasized that hydrogen technology will help reduce carbon emissions and mitigate pollution in Nepal.
