Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has departed for the United Nations Headquarters in New York, where he will lead a Nepali delegation at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
The Prime Minister is scheduled to address the assembly on September 26, focusing on this year’s theme: “Leaving No One Behind: Acting together for the advancement of peace, sustainable development, and human dignity for present and future generations.”
Accompanying Prime Minister Oli are his spouse, Radhika Shakya; Minister for Foreign Affairs Arzu Rana Deuba; Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal; and other senior officials.
The Prime Minister is expected to return to Kathmandu on September 30.
