PM Deuba claims MCC is not against the country’s welfare

Kathmandu: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that those who say that the US aid project is treasonous have not read the agreement properly.

Extending his message during the inauguration of the eighth general convention of the CPN (Maoist Center), Prime Minister Deuba said that MCC is not a traitor in any sense.

‘I am the Prime Minister of Nepal. Why should I make a treasonous agreement, ‘said Prime Minister Deuba,’ whether those who call MCC traitors have read the agreement or not. When I read it, it is not treasonous. ‘

Deuba said that legally MCC assistance is like a loan from the ADB and the World Bank.
