Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed all relevant agencies to intensify their efforts in rescuing and providing relief to citizens impacted by the ongoing natural disasters.
Expressing his concerns on his official Facebook account, Prime Minister Dahal conveyed his sorrow over the significant property damage caused by widespread floods resulting from continuous downpours across the country. He emphasized the urgency of rescuing those affected by these disasters.
In response to the escalating situation, Prime Minister Dahal announced that the government is convening a meeting of the Disaster Management and Risk Reduction Committee. This meeting aims to proactively address and mitigate potential landslide risks, given the forecast of increased rainfall this year.
The Prime Minister also urged all citizens to take necessary safety measures to protect themselves from foreseeable risks associated with the severe weather conditions.
