Kathmandu: Purnima Shrestha has etched her name in the annals of mountaineering history by becoming the first woman to conquer the summit of Mt. Everest three times within a single season. Accompanied by the seasoned guides of 8K Expeditions, Shrestha’s remarkable feat marks a pinnacle in her illustrious climbing career.

Her journey began with her initial summit on May 12, where she scaled the towering heights of Everest alongside Phura Temba Sherpa. Undeterred by the challenges, she embarked on her second ascent on May 19, this time accompanied by Pasang Sherpa. Finally, on May 25 at 5:50 AM, Shrestha reached the summit for the third time, guided by Karma Gyaljen Sherpa.

With this accomplishment, Shrestha adds yet another milestone to her impressive record of conquering multiple 8,000-meter peaks, underscoring her passion and commitment to the sport.
