Parliament passes budget for upcoming fiscal year with majority

Kathmandu: The House of Representatives has passed the budget for upcoming fiscal year 2080/81 with majority.

On Wednesday, a vote was taken to pass the Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year 2080/81. 147 votes were cast in favor of the Appropriation Bill after the CPN-UML demanded the division of votes. Which is the majority of the House of Representatives.

This is the first case of voting on the appropriation bill in the history of Nepal.

On Wednesday, 255 of the total 275 members of the House of Representatives participated in the voting. Among them, 108 voted against the proposal to pass the Appropriation Bill.
