Paragliding accident in Pokhara: pilot killed, passenger injured

Kathmandu: A pilot has died and a passenger has been injured in a paragliding accident in Pokhara.

The fistula paragliding was landing at Siran Campchowk in Fewatal when it meet with the accident. According to the police office of of Kaski paragliding fell on the ground about 1.5 km above Landing Area.

The deceased has been identified as Raju Gaire, 38, of Lakeside, Pokhara Metropolitan City-28.

Shila Shrestha, 28, of Budhanilkantha Municipality-2, Kathmandu has been injured.

After the accident, both were rescued and taken to Metro City Hospital at Sirjana Chowk. The doctor declared the pilot dead with a head injury.

According to Kaski police, Shrestha’s condition is critical. She has been brought to Kathmandu for further treatment.
