Kathmandu: One million doses of the corona vaccine purchased by Nepal is expected to arrive in Kathmandu on Sunday.
According to spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, out of the two million doses purchased from the Serum Institute of India, one million doses of covishield vaccine will arrive in Kathmandu on Sunday.
At a meeting held in Biratnagar on Saturday, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli also said that vaccinations would be introduced. He said that vaccines will also be brought from China too.
China has donated 500,000 doses of vaccine to Nepal and it has already been approved by the Department of Drug Management for emergency use in Nepal.
Earlier, India had given one million doses of vaccine as a grant.
