Kathmandu: General Secretary of Nepali Congress Shashank Koirala has said that Prime Minister KP Sharma will not hold the election on the scheduled date.
Expressing solidarity with the 19-day-long protest program of the Nepal Students’ Union at Tribhuvan University, Koirala has said that the election could not be held on the scheduled date due to the dispute between the ruling Nepal Communist Party.
Stating that there will be no election in April under any circumstances, General Secretary Koirala said that the Congress should focus its attention on the general convention scheduled for next August. Koirala said, “I don’t think Oli will hold elections. Elections will not be held till the date fixed by him.”
He said that it was necessary to fight against the dissolution of the parliament but the Congress should not agitate with the communists.
