Number of tourists in Lumbini increasing each day

Kapilvastu (Rashtriya Samachar Samiti): The number of tourists visiting Lumbini, which has been affected by the global epidemic of corona virus, has been increasing day by day for weeks.

According to Lumbini Development Fund Information Officer Rajan Basnet, the number of tourists visiting Lumbini is increasing. According to the latest statistics, the number of domestic tourists visiting Lumbini is very high. According to the fund, 141,579 Nepalis have visited Lumbini since the ban was lifted.

Similarly, 5,748 Indians and 120 foreigners have visited Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha. Member Secretary of the Fund Sanuraja Shakya said that the number of people coming from different parts of Nepal to visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, is increasing.

Shakya also said that the visit to Lumbini would be fruitful to alleviate the frustration and anxiety created by the people due to Corona.

Sagar Adhikari, coordinator of the Tourism Rehabilitation Committee Lumbini, said that the number of foreign tourists visiting Lumbini was high due to the corona.

He said, “We are running various campaigns in collaboration with Nepal Tourism Board, Lumbini State Government and various tourism related bodies for the revival of tourism in Lumbini.” It will motivate people to visit Lumbini. ”
