Kathmandu: The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has handed over 560 oxygen cylinders to Nepal through the ‘Send Oxygen to Nepal, Save the Lives of Relatives’ campaign.
The oxygen cylinders worth more than Rs 7.5 million brought to Nepal on Saturday with the help and cooperation of Nepalis in the Middle East and the Nepali Embassy in Oman were handed over to Health and Population Minister Hridayesh Tripathi by Kumar Pant and Dr Upendra Mahato.
The cost of transporting the oxygen cylinder from Oman to Kathmandu is borne by the Government of Nepal. Handing over the cylinders, Chairman Pant requested for distribution in all the prpvinces. A letter was also handed over to Minister Tripathi requesting donors to distribute it in different parts of Nepal.
Minister Tripathi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the NRNA for its timely assistance in the crisis. Minister Tripathi directed to the distribution of 200 oxygen cylinders to Lumbini, 100 to Far-Western, 100 to Karnali, 85 to Province No. 2 and 75 to Gandaki.
