KATHMANDU: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has extended the four-year ODI recognition by one year due to the Corona epidemic.
The ICC has extended the one-day international recognition by one year and Nepal’s one-day recognition has also been extended by one year. At the annual general meeting of the Nepal Cricket Association (NCA), Chairman Chatur Bahadur Chand informed that Nepal’s one-day recognition has been extended for one more year.
One-day international recognition lasts for four years, but with the addition of one more year, Nepal’s one-day recognition will last until March 2023.
Nepal got one-day international recognition in 2018. In the one-day World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe, Nepal got one-day international recognition as one of the top four associate nations. Nepal has played 10 ODIs so far, winning five and losing five.
