Nepal’s honorable defeat against India in Asia Cup

Kathmandu: Nepal has been defeated by India in Asia Cup Cricket. India defeated Nepal by 10 wickets in the match at the Palekele International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka on Monday night.

In the rain-affected match, India got a target of 145 runs in 23 overs based on the Duckworth-Lewis rule. India reached the target without losing a single wicket in 20 overs.

Captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill scored half centuries for India. Rohit added 74 runs and Shubman added 67 runs.

Earlier, after losing the toss and being invited to bat first, Nepal got all out after scoring 230 runs.

With this defeat, Nepal has been eliminated from the competition from the group stage without gaining even 1 point.

Earlier, Nepal was defeated by Pakistan. India has reached the ‘Super Four’ with this victory. Pakistan has already reached the ‘Super Four’ from Group ‘A’.

The Super Four match will be played from next Wednesday. The final match will be held on September 17.
