Nepali team set to depart Malaysia for U-19 Women’s World Cup qualifiers

Kathmandu: Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Tuesday bade farewell to the Nepali team that is going to play in the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup Asia qualifiers.

Nepali team will leave for Malaysia on Wednesday. The selection competition is being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from June 20 to 26.

The ICC’s first-ever Women’s U-19 World Cup will be held in January 2023 in South Africa. The winning team of the Asia selection competition will get to play in the World Cup.

Along with Nepal, Bhutan, Malaysia, Qatar, UAE and Thailand are in the Asia selection. Nepal will play its first match against Qatar on June 4.
