Kathmandu: Bharat Shah, a 36-year-old resident of Tikapur Municipality-1 Durga Nagar, Kailali, who recently joined the Russian army, has met an untimely demise. The news of his death reached his grief-stricken family through a colleague on Friday.

Shah’s family, consisting of his devastated father, mother, and wife, received the somber news with shock. Acting on the advice of relatives, the family conducted the final rites at Daulatpur Ghat in Tikapur, adhering to local traditions.

Despite the tragic incident, neither the Ministry of Foreign Affairs nor the Russian government has officially communicated the details of Bharat Shah’s death to his family.

Bharat Shah, who served in the Nepal Police for seven years before resigning three years ago, had previously worked in Dubai as a security guard. Despite the favorable salary in Dubai, he made the unexpected decision to join the Russian army just three months ago.

The late Bharat Shah, the second son in his family, leaves behind a grieving wife, a four-year-old son, and a three-month-old daughter. His family, who migrated to Tikapur from Bannigadi Jayagad Rural Municipality in Achham, mourns the loss of a beloved son and brother.
