Kathmandu: The Nepali national cricket team has landed in Sri Lanka for an important phase of their preparation. The squad has arrived to participate in practice sessions and to compete in a three-match One Day International (ODI) series against the Sri Lanka Development Team, starting Monday.
This series is a crucial part of Nepal’s build-up for the ICC World Cup League-2. Following their stint in Sri Lanka, Nepal will head to Canada for a tri-nation series involving Canada, Nepal, and Oman, scheduled from September 16 to September 26.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a 19-member squad for the team’s training and matches in Sri Lanka. The roster includes players such as Rohit Paudel, Ashif Sheikh, Anil Kumar Sah, Dev Khanal, Bhim Karki, Aarif Sheikh, Kushal Malla, Arjun Saud, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Gulshan Jha, and Rijan Dhakal.
Additionally, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Akash Chand, Sagar Dhakal, Sandeep Jora, Kushal Bhurtel, Dipendra Singh Airee, and Sandeep Lamichhane are also part of the squad.
