Nepali athletes bid farewell as they depart for 33rd Summer Paris Olympics

Kathmandu: In a heartfelt farewell ceremony held at Sheetal Niwas on Friday, Nepali athletes bound for the 33rd Summer Paris Olympics were given warm wishes and encouragement by President Ram Chandra Paudel.

President Paudel, addressing the gathering, emphasized the importance of sports as a means to showcase Nepal’s talent on the global stage. He urged the athletes to compete with unwavering dedication and to uphold the nation’s pride through their performances.

During the ceremony, President Paudel entrusted the national flag to Tanka Lal Ghising, Member Secretary of the Nepal Sports Council, symbolizing the athletes’ representation of the nation at the international event.

Minister for Youth and Sports Tejulal Chaudhary also addressed the gathering, encouraging the athletes to maintain high spirits and aiming for success in their respective competitions.

Present at the event were Minister Chaudhary, President of the Nepal Olympic Committee Jeevan Ram Shrestha, along with athletes and coaches set to participate in the prestigious event in Paris.
