Nepal won by 7 wickets over Oman

Kathmandu: Batting along with bowling, Nepal easily defeated Oman by seven wickets in the ICC Cricket World Cup League Two.

Nepal reached the target by losing three wickets in 18.2 overs with the help of captain Gyanendra Malla’s half-century.

Gyanendra and Ashif Sheikh shared 95 runs for the second wicket. Sheikh was dismissed for 40 runs.

After the Nepali bowlers bowled hard, the Oman batsmen could not make a big partnership. Jason Maqsood, the captain of the home team who came to bat in 37/4, managed to take one innings but the other batsmen could not survive.

However, Maqsood shared 22 runs with Nasim Khushi for the eighth wicket and 20 runs with Malimullah for the ninth wicket. When he was dismissed for 41 runs, the team’s score was 106 runs.

Sandeep Lamichhane and Karan KC took 4/4 wickets for Nepal. Sandeep scored 18 runs in 8.1 overs with 2 maidens while Karan scored 25 runs with 1 maiden in 8 overs. Sharad Bheshavkar took 2 wickets.
