Nepal women team defeat Qatar on first match of T20

Kathmandu: The Nepali national women’s cricket team has defeated Qatar by 119 runs in the first T20 International Cricket.

Following Nepal’s target of 147 runs at the West End Park Stadium in Doha, Qatar, Qatar were bowled out for 27 in 11 overs with 55 balls to spare. Khadija Imtiaz and Angelin Mare added 8/8 runs for Qatar. Kerry Paunset scored 7 and Rizfa Bano scored 3.

Five Qatari players were dismissed for zero runs. Nepal’s captain Rubina Chhetri took 3 wickets to wrap up Qatar cheaply. Kavita Kunwar and Sita Rana Magar took 2/2 and Karuna Bhandari took 1 wicket. Earlier, batting first, Nepal lost 4 wickets in 20 overs and scored 146 runs. Indu Burma played a half-century innings for Nepal.
