Kathmandu: A single goal scored by Bimal Gharti Magar led Nepal to defeat Mauritius with 1-0 score in a friendly match held today in Nepal.
In the match played at Dasharath Stadium on Saturday, Bimal scored in the 55th minute through Anjan Bista’s pass.
Bimal, who returned to the national team after 26 months, scored in the first match of his return.
Head coach Abdullah Almutairi gave Bimal the opportunity to be the first to put him in the team this time. With this, he bagged Man of the Match title for Saturday’s game and received a prize worth Rs 25,000.
The second friendly match against Nepal and Mauritius will be played on Tuesday.
