Kathmandu: Nepal is participating in CanSat Leader Training program that is being held in Japan.
Bikalpa Dhungana, a satellite research fellow at Antarikchya, and Dr Sudip Bhattarai, an assistant professor at the Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk are attending CanSat Leader Program Training 11 (CLTP 11) representing Nepal.
They are travelling to Nihon University in Tokyo, Japan to attend the two-week program. They will also represent UNISEC-Nepal, UNISEC-Global’s local chapter.
Established in 2019, CanSat Leader Training program is co-organized by UNISEC-Global and UNISEC member universities in Japan. The annual training course allows participants to experience the entire cycle of satellite development from design to launch.
Through the program, one can learn space technology and teaching methods utilized in space engineering.Nepal has been participating in the CanSat training since 2016. This is the 3rd time Nepal is being represented at the event.
