Kathmandu: Nepal claimed its first victory at the Hong Kong International Sixes on Friday, defeating India by 92 runs after three consecutive losses in the tournament. The match was held at Mong Kok, Hong Kong.
Winning the toss, Nepal opted to bat and posted a formidable 137 runs without losing a wicket in six overs. Rashid Khan scored 55 off 17 balls before retiring hurt after reaching his half-century, while Sundeep Jora made 47 from 12 deliveries. Lokesh Bam contributed an unbeaten 31 from seven balls.
In response, India was bundled out for 45 runs in three overs. Rashid Khan took three wickets in a single over, supported by Basir Ahmad and Rupesh Singh, who claimed two and one wicket respectively.
Earlier in the day, Nepal lost to Sri Lanka by three wickets. Nepal had posted 86 for four, with Sundeep Jora scoring 39 and Lokesh Bam unbeaten on 31. Sri Lanka chased the target in 5.3 overs. Nepal had also suffered earlier defeats to South Africa by four wickets and Afghanistan by 17 runs.
