Nepal marks ‘National Topi Day’

Kathmandu: Nepalis around the world is celebrating National Nepali Topi (traditional hat) and National Dress Day.

While the English New Year is being celebrated all over the world, in Nepal, in addition to this, for the promotion of the national topi and dress, national topi and national dress day is being celebrated.

For some years now, this day has been started to be celebrated on the first day of the English New Year spontaneously in order to promote the Nepali topi.

Especially Bhadgaonle topi and Dhaka topi are considered as Nepali topi. People celebrate this day, wearing the topi and promoting it.
