Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli paid tribute to the nation’s martyrs on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day.
On Wednesday, PM Oli, along with Deputy Prime Ministers and the Deputy Speaker, visited the Martyrs’ Gate and the Martyrs’ Memorial to honor those who sacrificed their lives for democracy and freedom.
Martyrs’ Day is observed every year on Magh 16 to remember those who fought for the establishment and restoration of democracy in Nepal. The government has also declared a public holiday for the occasion.
