Nepal govt asks ISPs to ban crypto-related websites

Kathmandu: The government has asked internet service provides to block Websites related to cryptocurrency, bitcoin, hyper networking, online gambling in Nepal.

The Nepal Telecommunications Authority has written a letter instructing internet and mobile service providers to shut down such websites and apps.

The Ministry of Finance had written a letter to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology requesting it to ‘block’ such websites.

Apps and websites related to economic crime are prohibited from being used, operated and managed, and are instructed to be disabled and blacklisted.
