Nepal govt allows ten flights to take Indian to Saudi

Kathmandu: Nepal government has allowed 10 flights to take Indian nationals stranded in Nepal to Saudi Arabia.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, the flights were approved with the coordination of the Indian Embassy and the permission of the Saudi government. Nepal Airlines Corporation has been allowed to operate seven flights from Kathmandu and Himalaya Airlines are permitted for three flights.

From May 18, Nepal Airlines and Himalaya Airlines, two Nepali international airlines, will start taking Indian nationals to Saudi Arabia. According to CAAN, Nepal Airlines Corporation and Himalaya Airlines have been allowed to operate chartered flights.

Indian citizens can buy tickets by contacting the concerned airline. This facility is provided for the Indians who have stranded in Kathmandu after the prohibitory order was imposed. At present, transit flight in Nepal has been stopped. The embassies have started an initiative for the purpose of repatriation of foreign nationals after the closure of international flights in Nepal.
