Kathmandu: Nepal has reached the finals by defeating India in the under-20 SAFF women’s football championship being held in Bangladesh.
Nepal defeated India by 3-1 in the match held in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Nepal made an excellent comeback when they were behind by one goal. Anjali Chand, Priti Rai and Amisha Karki scored one goal each in Nepal’s win.
With this win, Nepal has added six points in three matches. Now Nepal will play either with India or Bangladesh in the finals next Thursday.
Nepal was defeated by Bangladesh 3-1 in the first match. In the second match, Nepal defeated Bhutan 4-0.
