Nearly 2 mn people expected to leave Kathmandu to celebrate festive holidays

Kathmandu: The number of people to their hometown to celebrate festive holiday is increasing each day.

More than, 50,000 people are leaving the valley daily through Nagadhunga, Sanga Bhanjang, Mudkhu and Pharping. Nearly two million people are expected to leave the valley during Dashain festival.

In the previous two financial years, the number of people going out of the valley was low even during Dashain due to the Corona virus.

To facilitate the passengers going home on Dashain, the traffic police has established passenger assistance rooms at 14 places in the valley including Gangbu, Chabahil, Koteshwar, Kalanki.
