Nearly 1.7 Million Devotees Visit Pashupatinath on Mahashivaratri

Kathmandu: It is estimated that around 1.7 million devotees visited the Pashupatinath temple on the day of Shivaratri.

Five thousand volunteers were deployed to manage the crowd on Shivaratri. Pashupati will have various poojas associated with Shivaratri even today. Similarly, the administrative work including counting of donations collected yesterday will start after 12 noon, as per Pashupati Area Development Fund.

Similarly, cleaning has started in Pashupati area from this morning.

Meanwhile, preparations have also started for the farewell of the saints who have come to Pashupati for Shivaratri. The Pashupati Area Development Fund has stated that work is being done to bid them farewell by tomorrow evening or Percy morning.
