Kathmandu: The national cricket team has been announced today for the ACC Men’s U-16 East Zone Cup Cricket Tournament to be held in Malaysia.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a 14-member team led by Bipin Prasad Sharma for the tournament to be held in Malaysia from June 22 to July 5.
The Nepali team including captain Sharma and Vice-captain Suryashu Koirala comprises Shivansh Bajgain, Raunak Srivastava, Parimarjan Yadav, Abhay Yadav, Sachin Bhatta, Sugam Budhathoki, Suyog Bhattarai, Sushil Rawal, Shubham Khanal, Prasidha Jaishi, Joy Thapa and Roshan Shahi.
Ten different teams, including Nepal, are participating in the tournament. Nepal has been placed in Group ‘A’ along with Singapore, Indonesia, Bhutan and Japan. Group ‘B’ includes hosts Malaysia, Thailand, the Maldives, Hong Kong and Myanmar.
Nepal will play its opening match against Singapore on June 22.
