NAC to operate cargo flight for NEA

Kathmandu: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) and Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC).

The MoU was signed by NEA Executive Director Kulman Ghising and NAC Executive Chairman Yubaraj Adhikari in the presence of Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale and Secretary Maheshwar Neupane.

From now onwards, NEA employees and their families will get 15 percent discount on international flights from the Corporation’s flight. In order to get the exemption, the employee has to submit the recommendation letter of NEA along with the identity card. Only those who purchase tickets from the sales office of the corporation will get the discount facility.

NEA will get 5/10 percent discount based on the quantity when transporting cargo from the place where the corporation is flying. The MoU stipulates that NEA will issue circulars to its employees to travel internationally through NAC.

Minister Ale urged the management of the NAC to learn from the steps taken by the NEA’s management to uplift the sinking authority.
