More than 9,000 people across country vaccinated against corona on first day

Kathmandu: On Wednesday, the first day of the vaccination campaign against corona virus (Covid 19), 9,084 people were vaccinated across the country.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 9,084 health workers and frontline staff from 93 vaccination centers in 64 districts have been vaccinated against corona.

According to the Ministry of Health, 1,255 people have been vaccinated in Province 1, 726 in Province 2, 2,694 in Bagmati, 1,843 in Gandaki, 733 in Lumbin, 751 in Karnali and 1,082 in the Far West.

The Ministry of Health has stated that no problem has been reported in the vaccinated people so far.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurated the virtual vaccination campaign on Wednesday morning.

Stating that the participation of vaccinators on the first day of the campaign was remarkable, the ministry also thanked them for their spontaneous participation. The Ministry also thanked all those who have played a leading role in making this campaign a success by managing vaccination training, transportation and distribution, communication and vaccination centers in a short period of time.

India had provided one million doses of Corona vaccine to Nepal as a grant.
