Kathmandu: In the month of August, 67,153 foreign tourists came to Nepal via air route.
This number is about 26,000 people more than the August of the previous year.
In the month of August 2022, 41,304 foreign tourists came to Nepal. Similarly, in 2021, 6,093 tourists and in 2020, 267 tourists came to Nepal.
Most of the tourists who came to Nepal in the month of August were 26,665 from India. Similarly, 5,027 people have come from China and 4,629 people have come from America.
In eight months of 2023, more than six lakh foreign tourists have entered Nepal. According to Nepal Tourism Board, six lakh one thousand three hundred and sixty tourists have visited Nepal from January to August this year.
