Kathmandu: The salary of a member of the Nepali national football team has been increased. The working committee meeting of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) held on Thursday has increased the salary of male and female players to Rs 18,000 per month.
For the first time in Nepali football, male and female players are receiving equal pay, according to ANFA. Earlier, male players were getting a monthly salary of Rs 15,000 and female players Rs 7,000.
