Mayor Balendra urged to provide free health service to financially poor people

Kathmandu: Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Balendra Sah has expressed the view that health and education should reach the doorsteps of the people as a service and not as a business.

He said this while inspecting the Kshetrapati Free Hospital on Saturday morning.

They have also observed the construction work of the newly constructed building of Kshetrapati Free Hospital and also monitored the services providing from the hospital.

Mayor Balendra Sah also interacted with the patients being treated at the hospital. After interacting with the patients and the services being provided by the hospital, he expressed happiness that the hospital is providing better service than he thought.

He has directed to guarantee free treatment to the helpless, poor and financially deprived people from Kshetrapati Free Hospital.

The president of the hospital, Dr. Manojman Shrestha said that those who are admitted to the hospital do not have to return without any treatment.
