Kathmandu: Lumbini province government has decided to give 5 days travel leave to the government employees of the province.

Issuing the Internal Tourism Work Program (Operation and Management), (First Amendment) Procedure 2078, the provincial government has ensured that employees now will get five days travel leave.

According to the procedures issued by the provincial government, the provision will start from the current fiscal year.

The government of Nepal had announced a similar program last year to promote tourism.

However, the plan could not get implemented effectively.

Thus, the federal government didn’t announce any such programme for this fiscal year. However, the provincial governments have included it in theier budget.

Destinations within the province can be chosen by themselves. According to the procedure, employees can only travel within the province.
