Kathmandu: Vaccination certification with QR code will now be done by the municipalities.
The responsibility has been given to the municipalities in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population. Although the municipalities have been given the responsibility of verifying the vaccine with QR code since October, this service has not been effective yet.
Vaccination certification has been made mandatory to go abroad however service seekers are not getting certificate event after submitting application for many days. However, the government has said that if all the procedures are completed, the vaccination will be certified within 24 hours.
The Family Welfare Division of the Department of Health Services has requested to contact the health branch of the municipality with its permanent address if there is any problem in verification even after completing all the procedures and filling online application.
