Kathmandu: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has written to seven casinos asking them to pay entertainment tax within a week.
By sending a letter on Sunday, the Metropolitan city asked Deltin of Hotel Marriott, Casino Palace of Hotel Annapurna, Casino Rad of Hotel Radisson, Pride International and Recreation of Hotel Hyatt, Majong of Hotel Solti and Belly Casino of Malla Hotel to pay the enterntainment tax.
According to the revenue department of the metropolis, the related organizations have not paid the entertainment tax for casino entrance prescribed by the Economic Act of Bagmati Province for 4 years.
The Metropolis has warned the casino that if the tax is not paid within 7 days along with the rate prescribed by the State Economic Act and the penalty, action will be taken according to the Metropolis Revenue Act.
