Kathmandu: 5,179 security personnel have been mobilized in Kathmandu for the election to be held on November 20. Five thousand seven hundred and seventy nine security personnel have been mobilized to conduct the elections fearlessly and peacefully.

For the election of members of the House of Representatives and members of the Provincial Assembly, the period of prohibition of campaigning has started since 12:00 last night.

Police have been deployed in sensitive polling stations as per the central security policy to ensure the peaceful completion of the elections.

Apart from this, the Nepal Police has been conducting mobile patrolling, plainclothes police deployment, code of conduct violation monitoring, and security checks at checkpoints in view of the elections in Kathmandu.

As the election date approaches, the Nepal Police has also tightened security checks during night.
