Kathmandu: The fourth series of ‘Kabaddi’ has set a record at the Nepali box office on its opening day.
The film, which was released in 150 halls across the country, earned Rs 29 million on Friday.
The earning amount is the highest opening business record of any Nepali film at the domestic box office so far.
Earlier, ‘Chakkapanja 2’ had earned Rs 18 million on the first day of its release.
As it is a much awaited series, the film also set another record of selling more than Rs 1.5 crore in advance at the box office.
Occupancy was almost 100 percent on Friday. Not only multiplexes but also single screens were operated with full occupancy.
