Kathmandu: Israeli Ambassador to Nepal, Hanan Goder, has called for the immediate release of Bipin Joshi, a Nepali student reportedly held captive by the militant group Hamas. Ambassador Goder made the appeal during a program at his residence in Kathmandu on Thursday, organized to commemorate Israel’s national festival ‘Hanukkah.’
During the event, Ambassador Goder presented a photo of Bipin, who has been missing since the Hamas attack, and urged the militant group to release him.
Despite a seven-day temporary ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, Bipin has yet to be freed. The plea for his release comes as Bipin’s family continues to appeal to the Nepal government, Israel, and Hamas for assistance in locating and securing the release of their missing family member.
