Investment Board decides to proceed with major projects

Kathmandu: Domestic, foreign and large-scale projects will be promoted through the Investment Board Nepal (IBN).

The 53rd meeting of the Board chaired by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has decided to go ahead with such big projects.

Finance Minister Dr. Prakasharan Maha has said that it has been decided to advance the hydropower projects in the energy sector.

The Investment Board meeting has decided to proceed with the Lower Arun, Upper Marsyangdi, Dudhkoshi-2 and other hydropower projects.

Interest in chemical fertilizer production is everywhere. The Board of Investment has made some decisions on that matter as well.

The Minister of Finance, who is also the Vice-President of the Board said, “Foreign investors are waiting for permission to do a detailed study for fertilizer production. It has been decided to proceed with the process of granting permission to two foreign investors.”
