Indian Army Chief Pandey arrives in Kathmandu

Kathmandu: Indian Army Chief Manoj Pandey has arrived in Kathmandu.

Pandey arrived Nepal on Sunday afternoon at the invitation of Commander-in-Chief Prabhuram Sharma.

Pandey, who arrived in Kathmandu leading an 11-member team, was welcomed at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

During his visit to Nepal, Pandey will hold bilateral talks with Commander-in-Chief Sharma. He will receive the title of Honorary Maharathi of the Nepalese Army from President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

During his visit to Nepal, Pandey is scheduled to have a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Pandey was appointed as the Indian Army Chief last May.
