India gives 200 vehicles to Nepal for election

Kathmandu: India has gifted 200 vehicles to Nepal for the election.

On Tuesday, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava presented 200 vehicles as a gift to Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma on behalf of the Government of India.

It is said that these vehicles have been provided at the request of the Government of Nepal.

These vehicles will be used during the election. After the election, 120 vehicles will be used by the security agencies and the remaining 80 by the Election Commission.

At the request of the Government of Nepal, the Government of India has been providing vehicles for the use of security agencies and Election Commission of Nepal in the past years as well.

According to the Indian Embassy, ​​till now, India has provided more than 2400 vehicles to Nepal during the elections, with around 2000 vehicles to the Nepal Police and Armed Police Force and 400 vehicles to the Nepali Army and the Election Commission.
