Indefinite Prohibition begins in Biratnagar amid rising protest

Kathmandu: An indefinite prohibition has been issued in Biratnagar, the capital of Koshi province.

The District Administration Office, Morang, has issued indefinite injunctions at various places in the suspicion that the movement of people who have been protesting against the naming of the province as Koshi will become violent.

The prohibition has been enforced since 6 am this morning. The chief district officer of Morang, Birendra Kumar Yadav, has mentioned that apart from public and vehicular movement, meetings, processions, gatherings, rallies, have been banned in the restricted area.
