Kathmandu: The National Human Rights Commission has requested the government to take effective measures to control dengue. Commission spokesman Dr. Tikaram Pokharel issued a statement today on Tuesday and urged the federal, provincial and local governments to take effective measures to control dengue infection in the country.

The National Commission has also said that it has drawn attention to the danger to the health of the citizens due to the dengue disease which is spreading nationwide while the Corona epidemic is still on.

When the number of patients is increasing day by day, due to the lack of adequate attention of the relevant agencies for its control and prevention, the lives of the citizens are at risk and there is no effective coordination between the three levels of government, stated the statement.
