Kathmandu: Mohammad Aftab Alam, who is in jail, has been recommended by the Nepali Congress as a candidate from Constituency No. 2 of Rautahat for upcoming House of Representative Election.
He was arrested by the police back in 2019 and since then he is in Nakkhu Jail. He is accused of being involved in the bomb blast incident in Rajpur in 2009.
The family members of the injured in the incident filed a complaint against Alam alleging that the injured were burnt alive in the brick kiln.
